Cooking demonstrations + Makan

We decided to have a cooking demonstrations for the youth as part of the character & life skill development program. The ideas is to put some receipts into their shelves so that they can use it when they are on their own for further studies or what so ever :p

So we break our self into 3 teams, and each team suppose to cook 3 dishes. So we got all together 9 dishes for everyone to share. So for my case I teamed up with Mary and I have teach them how to cook spaghetti and grilled chicken legs. Honestly I haven’t cooked any main course for so long that I lost count on it, so something having maid to do all the house cord can be a blessing and a curse. I actually feel really rusty  and sometime not sure what I suppose to do >w<

But at the end, all the foods turn out pretty alright and I learned quite a few tricks regard with cooking. So when is the next time I gonna cook? Absolutely no idea!!! BTW, YA count yourself as privilege, even my family members have never tried my cooking before (except Lily)! :p

Departure of Lap Lap family

IMG_8145

Today is the departure date for lap lap family; as far as I can remembered, I have knew Lap Lap family for almost 10 years or more. All the family members from the dad (Ray), wife (Eva), Joshua, Joel and Hannah have impacted my life one way or another.

They are a family gifted with musical talents, hospitability, creativity and more importantly a heart for peoples and a heart for Him. I have in my life received critics, advise and encouragement from this family; and working with their kids when their are as young as form 1/2 in music ministry, and they have been in the band ever since the time I started the youth team. It is really sad to see them leaves, but knowing that it is for the greater goods for the family that we are happy to send them with a blessing. Since we all know and believe that such separation is only temporary for we will for sure meet each other again one way or others.

IMG_8175-EditAt the airport, it was flooded with a big group of peoples ready to send them off, I always believe that number of peoples whom come to send you off will always speak about how much you have impacted the life of others (not unless your flight is at odd hour where peoples can’t make it lah) :p

To lap lap family, thanks you so much for treating me as part of your family through out this time, teaching me so much and being an example as how a family can be and a testimony not just for me, but also to Lily also. Thanks you, God bless you all and paalam!!! Sana magkikita tayo muli! ^w^

Youth Movie outing @ Mall Cineplex watching Toys Story 3

IMG_7388 Thanks to Joshua for organising the outing to watch Toys Story 3; even thought it is a bit rush for some of us since we are watching the 5:30pm show. Well for only $4 per person, a movie before 6pm is still  one of the activity I will love to go.

So, how’s Toys Story 3? Absolutely incredible! Can’t really remember how’s the part I and part II so can’t really compare with it. But if you enjoy part I & part II, there is absolute no excuse for missing part III, must watch!!! I am happy to give 9.5/10

For movie review, I pretty sure you can find a good review online or I know someone will gonna write one >W<

IMG_7379This mind be the last ever movie outing with the Lap Lap, but I pretty sure one way or the others we will able to meet again for some more awesome time.

Then we went to Starbucks @ Bintang Plaza(Thanks to James for being a driver), and we saw quite a huge crowds gathering in front of coffee bean to watch the World Cup 2010 live on a big screen.

IMG_6007 I actually wanted to order a Dark Mocha Frappucino, too bad there didn’t have it. Right after starbucks we gather together near the beach, and I show some of them what it mean by light painting. And they are pretty excited once they saw the first example.

No Apologies 2010

IMG_4607

IMG_4614  Sorry for the late of update lately, been really busy with various stuffs regarding works, personnel life and also the preparation for No Apologies seminar. No Apologies is originated from Focus on the Family, USA; it is a program to teach and educate youth the truth about Life, Love and sex and also to encourage them to remain abstinence til they are marriage. It is the first time we run it, so we are pretty anxious about it, but overall I believe the whole thing is a success. Almost all of them pledge for their abstinence!!! \(^w^)/

Even though the whole thing is really tiring, but knowing all those attends have something valuable impact into their life, it is something that I believe they can be proud of when they achieve better life when they grow older. Once I think that about it, this whole things is worth our effort.
