姨妈 (Aunty) 71st Birthday Celebration Dinner

Right after we are done with our checking out, and on the ways to do our various stuffs with my mum. She actually told me that we will be celebrating 姨妈 birthday, and they are adding us into the dinner celebration.

Just a bit of background of her, she is my mum cousin on the ladies side, and they have been very close even at the young age. When I was born, she actually took care of me in Miri, while my mum is in Brunei. If I not mistaken, “long pa” was my kids name when I was there. So when I heard about it, I know I am obligate to go and I don’t mind going also, and I also decided to take this chances to take more photograph.

They booked 5 table in one of the restaurant which consisted only the direct family members, in law, grandchildren and 1 table of friends, so it was a pretty challenging night for my ha ka direct speaking, though i got no problems in listening.  >w<

Interestingly, on the same restaurant, there is another wedding functions going on the same flood and another birthday celebration going on another floor. It actually show how popular is this place.

Oh ya, regarding the foods. It is freaky nice!!! And for one, no rice on the manual!!! I wouldn’t mind to go there again just for the foods.

I want to thanks my cousin for letting us join in the dinner (though I know my nieces was pretty bore, which is totally understandable) for wishing 姨妈 for long life and more years to come ^w^

Since I already give them a copy of the photo’s, I do hope they like the photo that been taken.

Miri Trip Part III

When it come to photography, one of my favourite is candid shoot. It is always those spontaneous moments that peoples are strip off their self defense against the camera and being true to the situation around them (I’m not saying peoples always fake infront of camera!!!) And it also one of those moment that you get it see some kind of faces that you don’t usually see.

  It is especially nice to candid the family moments, I think it is one of the essences that video cannot capture. While video can capture the whole things / story but sometimes photo just leave so much for you to imagine the story.

This one was totally unplanned, I didn’t even realized that I left my off camera flash there while testing the shoot, but what I like about is how the light spread. It actually some new ideas with regarding using light, so it is a worthy mistake >w<

So is this all for my miri trip? Nah, I actually got a totally un plan event that await me without me knowing it!!! So stay tune ~~~~

Miri Trip Part II

After the 6 hour quite time with my pillow, and it is time for breakfast!!! And well, this is always some that just can’t live without their PSP? >w<

And what’s after breakfast? Morning high tea!!

The result of this photo wasn’t done by any photo technique, it is plainly just because my front lens was cover with moist due to the temperature change from room to outdoor. But can you do the samething with photoshop? Of coz u can :)

A swimming pool monster has show up in Park City hotel!!! And the biggest, meanest mask rider is coming to the swimming pool to save the day!!!

Miri Trip Part I

Once again, I have my annual Miri Trip and stay at Park City hotel. What make this year difference to my last year is that I now have a DSLR with me compare to all my previous year!!! So more photo’s taking session!!!

My first ever sunset shoot at Miri!!!

Then we went to Starbucks @ Bintang Plaza(Thanks to James for being a driver), and we saw quite a huge crowds gathering in front of coffee bean to watch the World Cup 2010 live on a big screen.

I actually wanted to order a Dark Mocha Frappucino, too bad there didn’t have it. Right after starbucks we gather together near the beach, and I show some of them what it mean by light painting. And they are pretty excited once they saw the first example.

Of coz a group shoot after all those tried out. Was fooling around with my wireless trigger and flash through an umbrella. For some interesting weird reasons, they are some spill light that caught on left side. Wondering how it happen, and I quite like the effects.
