Time & times again I just want to thank God for provision, today we are invited to attend HSBC Seri Branch for their Hari Raya Open house, of coz we gladly accepted XD
They have nasi lemak with chicken, various type of cake & drinks, btw the samba taste fabulous! One of the nicest I have try, should have asked them where they cater this.

If you live in Asia region, and you are not aware that today is 中秋節 (Chinese Full Moon festival), then you better start getting out of your room and breath some fresh air! Anyway, Mid Autumn festival is such a traditional chinese celebration that any Chinese will know about. Even if you are not chinese, you will be aware of how the market has been advertising and selling moon cake like no tomorrow. If you actually went to the Chinese temple, you will get to enjoy chinese traditional dance and show. But for me I am too lazy to move my butt, so I decided to take photo of the moon instead :p

Looking at all this photo actually make me curious how will the photo turn out if I use more than 30sec exposures, it just that I don’t have any remote control in order to do bulb mode, maybe I should really put that into my consideration of purchase?

As far as the info I have collected, it was done by Alexander Semenov with one entry Nikon Camera D5500 and one Canon 550D and some entry lens. It really showed that first and foremost important is the one holding the camera and how they gonna convert their ideas to the mass instead of ten over thousand dollars of camera equipments. The video footage, editing, composition is really impressive at its own rights. I do hope that this will spice up more creative for the video industry ^w^
Decided to give photo walk a try since I have an off day today, and I decided to use Bandar Seri Begawan as my destination place. 
I think this is my first time trying a broad daylight photo walk and I definitely learned a few things. First and foremost, bring together with you a bottle of water!!! Walking around city areas at 2pm really no joke, if not because most of the areas got shade I think I would have sweat like a jelly.
2nd, choose a day or time that have more peoples around. Ok, this can be subjective. But I went around the town areas, the amount of peoples that walk around the city area is just sad. Hardly hardly got any body at all with just a few tourist walking around. So if you objective of photo walk is to shoot peoples, then must choose a time and day that will have a lot of peoples walking around, which I assume will be friday or sunday?
3rd, forget about quality lens, the most important thing is your eyes to capture the composition in an interesting or creative ways. Even if you got the most expensive lens, if you can’t capture beautiful photo then it just a waste. Which personally I felt I fall short of it, even thought I am using a kit lens & a 50mm 1.8. When it come to photowalk, you really have to be bold and putting composition as a priority. Well, it just mean that I still have a long way to go, and needed to learn more and practice more.
Sorry for haven’t been updating much with my blog lately, been really busy for the last 2 weeks with the camp preparation, executing, and the finishing works. It is definitely a fun and memorial to the participants. How I know? Just have to look at their FB status loh, where else? >w<
Last night, we have an advance birthday celebration for my 2nd nieces from my eldest brother. A very typical TAN family style! Great meals prep by my brothers and a birthday to follow after that. A slight difference will be her bf Choon Fatt is with us this time.

Sunlit Advertising SDN BHD, one of the leading company in Brunei hosted a blood donation campaign and invited peoples to donate blood for the good cause. I actually went there to fix some IT related issues since they are one of the client I been supporting, only then I know about the blood donation campaign that they been running over the last few years.

Since I happen to be there, I decided to participant with the blood donation also. Not for self promotion, but I do believe that blood donation is for a good cause; yet so far in my life I only donated twice >w<
I also realized that a lot of peoples have a lot of misunderstanding or fears regarding blood donation. It happen that I got a free lunch pack after the blood donations and my colleagues know about it, while they don’t mind to have the free lunch and they think that it is too expensive for the trade. Not doubt, blood is precious; yet because it is so precious that’s why hospital been encourage peoples to give, since it can be a matter of life and dead for those peoples in need. I think it just a matter of perspective and attitude towards the circumstances. For me, I always believe that giving is important to personal life. Give some blood away (which actually can improve your health), help a life in need and received a free lunch, a win win situation, why not?

I been wanted to do some snap shoot yet it have been raining pretty heavily lately, so I decided to give this tutorials a try. Here is the self portrait original photo taken with one strobe on the camera left, ISO 100 Aperture 10 and shutter speed of 100. I know I know, this is a pretty common and dull shoot.
And now here it is with the photoshop image.
While nothing spectacular compare to the original tutorials, but this add some spices to the original photos. Of course, this are not those kind of technique you should use it for every photo, but it is always fun to add some more stuffs under your shelves.
For those of you who have read my blog post on My camera main dialler is faulty!!!will know that my faithful Canon EOS 30D is sick and in need of medical check out. Well the latest is that after i send her to Interhouse, which is the authorized Canon medical center in Brunei. After various medical diagnosis, the report show that she is currently suffering from main dialer break down, and need to fly to KL, Malaysia for urgent operations.
When I heard the news, my heart was like drop to rock bottom, she actually need to fly all the ways to KL for operations! Then I asked the ladies who informing me with the latest updates regarding my 30D that I in need for an assistant to replace my 30D role while she is away from me. To my surprise, she actually willing to help me to get a replacement for the time being. So the next day after she have talk to her manager, she inform me that they manage to get 20D as my temporary assistant.
When I was introduce to 20D, my reaction is that she is just like 30D, the weight and the shape is almost identical, the feel when I hold it in my hands is exactly identical to 30D. If not because of the smaller LCD screen compare to 30D, I would have thought that it is my 30D.
Well, I really appreciated Canon Interhouse for willing to rent me a replacement body while my 30D is away for an occasions and hopefully by the time my 30D come down, she will not bring a big bill with her. At this moment, I will just have to rely on 20D for snipping peoples >w<
