Birthday for 3

  31st March is a special occasion where we celebrate 3 of our family birthday, which is my bro Vincent, eldest sis in law Sharon, 3rd sis in law Edith.

The chocolate cup cake is really thick and nice, a bit too sweet though :p

This cake is made with sweeten sugar instead of the normal one, so is better for those cannot take sweet yet love cake.

No Apologies 2010

  Sorry for the late of update lately, been really busy with various stuffs regarding works, personnel life and also the preparation for No Apologies seminar. No Apologies is originated from Focus on the Family, USA; it is a program to teach and educate youth the truth about Life, Love and sex and also to encourage them to remain abstinence til they are marriage. It is the first time we run it, so we are pretty anxious about it, but overall I believe the whole thing is a success. Almost all of them pledge for their abstinence!!! \(^w^)/

Even though the whole thing is really tiring, but knowing all those attends have something valuable impact into their life, it is something that I believe they can be proud of when they achieve better life when they grow older. Once I think that about it, this whole things is worth our effort.  

Happy Birthday Dad

Last sunday, we have a BBQ session to celebrate advance birthday for my dad, what made it special this time is that my 2nd brother Vincent & Sis in law actually made a surprise come back all the way from UK. So it is a pretty interesting night, as usual wonderful foods. Especially the lamb!!! >w<

Eps 6: Welcome Ezekiel Emmanuel Tan Ngee-Ern 陳義恩

My 3rd brother Victor & Sis in law Edith just born a son on friday night!!! It is the first born son for my 3rd brother and all of us are rejoicing and exciting about this new born child. So for now I have 3 nephew and 4 nieces, and I believe the number will continue to grow!!! >w<

Once Captain Mike heard the news, he is so excited that he wanted to do something about it. So he made a red egg which Chinese usually use it for birthday and also mean to symbol a new life. Welcoming Ezekiel Emmanuel Tan Ngee-Ern to Tan family and also to this world. Pray and believe that you will have a wonderful, blessed, and fulfilling life under the care, maturing of Victor Tan family.

Congrats and well done to Victor & Edith \(^w^)/

2 inconsiderate idiots = PROBLEMS!!!

 

Sometime you just feel like crack open someone head to see what is really inside their brain. Take this one as example, the blue car actually blocked the only way out for those that parking at another side, there are already quite a few cars right in front of him. Then come this Daihatsu Siron with what ever freaky genius mind inside the brain decided to park behind the blue car! Blocking not just the blue car but also others car around him!!! Who they think they are? Police official? Dato? Orang Kaya? Land owner? Looking at their car none of them fit lah. . . .

Sometime it really make me wonder, it doesn’t take a person with a Master degree in city infrastructure to know that if you park there, the rest of the peoples cannot come out. Some more it isn’t because there aren’t parking around, the blue car just have to drive in make a turn, and there are at least 3~5 slot waiting for him. . . . . . . Then the Siron also another one, look carefully you already know you shouldn’t park there lah.

One uncle I know from the same block of building actually waited more than 15mins before I arrived the scene! So I got no idea how long they actually parked there. . . 

Just to let you all know, my car didn’t get blocked by any of them, in fact I just found my parking near them since I just came back from one of my client office. But this really a scene can’t be missed.

So,

1 inconsiderate idiot = inconvenient to others

2 inconsiderate idiots = problem to others

what happen if you have three? I think I will see spark or gun powder flying around? >w<

My Room entertainment system

Previously I posted about my purchase of Sony KDL – 40w5500, which is almost 2 week by now; I am still pretty happy with it.

And this is how it look in my room atm

To give you a better perspective the size of a 40” tv, a quick shot of me with my TV. Those Starwar toys is from my brother who are in New Zealand at this moments, helping him to keep it while decorate it in my room.

Now, it has officially turn my room into a media entertainment paradise, with my pc act as the media central with the abilities to play video, music, internet + games with 5.1 surround sound. Technically we called it Home Theatre Personal Computer in short HTPC. It doesn’t mean that normal pc with PC monitor cannot be called HTPC, it is just that having a bigger screen make watching movie so much more enjoyable compare to my previous Samsung 19” LCD.

Recently I also installed a program called XBMC, it is a front end media program  similar to Windows Media Centre. The installation is pretty easy, but configure the contents with video information took me a huge chunk of time (might be due to my slow internet connections?) But once you start setting up and saw the result of it, you can’t really stop. . .

This is how it look like With some extra feature like weather broadcast, hardly use it for me, but good to have it. If you look carefully, it also support for music & pictures, but personally  I feel that iTunes is a way better music management programs while Adobe lightroom is my default pictures management.

It display my anime collections with wonderful wide banner ^w^

It will display Movie information if available, but not for this case . . . . . Movie information with display resolution, audio information and movie rating base on where you query the database. It can also display individual TV series episode informationCurrently I still fine tweaking this program and trying to update my content information one movie at a time, if I can get hold on bigger HDD for storage, I might even start ripping some of my DVD collection. Since it gonna took me a long time to do it, I don’t see myself doing it any time soon (too lazy) :p  So if you guys wanna drop by my place (room) to watch movie? Do let me know.
