A walk Consumer Fairs 2009 @ ICC

Consumer Fairs is consider one of the biggest events in Brunei where over few hundreds of company/shops taking chance to participants to promote their products to the Brunei mass market. So I decided to take a look around and what they offer this years, well. . . . .  as expected it was jam packed with peoples… Some of the walk way you have to really dig your ways through.

IMG_2186

The time when we are there, it is easily over few thousand peoples crawling around, and for what? Since salary just came out not long ago, everyone is really in a buying stream, especially when shop decided to do up to 70% sales!!! IMG_2194 Amy & Lily cam whoring

So, how is it compare to last year? It really got way more shop that last year, but too many shops yet too little fun I suppose? But I was drooling over the HDTV pricing over there though, I really think I gonna get a HDTV in my room, but how soon is it? Only time will tell.

Apart

IMG_2017Victor Tan,  the 3rd out of 4 in our family. 10 years old different between me and him. The one who bring me to church when I was in Perth, Australia.

Today he have finally embark a new journey together with his wife Edith to New Zealand where he will spend at least the next 2 years for his further studies. Though he is travelling to a unknown land, where there gonna be cultural differences, difference life style, but one thing we are sure that our Lord will be with them where ever they are. It should be a very exciting & challenging journey since Edith going to born a new child even next few month, but as long as they support one another & look to Him, I pretty sure I will heard alot of story once he come back to Brunei for visit / holiday or what ever reasons. :p

God bless, Vic & Edith.

Ideals?

IMG_1241

I really feel like having photographic block at this moment, while wanting to take some more photo, but at the same time not having any inspiration to go for it. Been really lacking with my toys and landscape photographic and also my strobist snap (my wireless trigger spoiled, so can’t really do much with it) :\

I know some one would suggest to get a new lens for new inspiration, but for my current budget buying a new lens is out of the question, and also I have other stuffs need to put into my financial consideration.

While I still like some of the photo that I taken, but most of them no longer give me a wow factor. Nothing that really zap me with excitement that I long snap more. . .

Should I take a break from photography? Or should I not? Hmmmm…….. decision decision. . . . . .

Dinner @ XCape Restaurant

 IMG_1576

Sunday night, me, Majorie, Lily, Stanley, Michelle went together to Xcape Gadong for dinner under the request of Michelle dad. This was the 2nd time we actually came out together for dinner, last time was a surprise birthday dinner for Stanley.

We ordered almost close to 20 dish if not mistaken, we ate so fast that as if we not haven’t eaten for ages. But it was a really good time together and I enjoy it, and they actually make use of the plate and some left over stuffs to make a weird smiling face XDIMG_1582

During Saturday some of us played a game that you have stuck marshmallow and said “Chunky Bunny #” where # is the number of marshmallow inside your mouth. So Lily and Michelle loved the game so much that they actually go and buy a packet of marshmallow and played the game while we are on our way home, it was freaky funny XD

National Insurance Brunei 40th Anniversary Carnival

IMG_1480

On sunday after lunch, we went to Chung Hwa Middle School (which is my ex school that I studies from kindergarten to high school) since National Insurance hosting a fun day for their 40th anniversary.

It wasn’t as jam packed as I am expected, most properly due to the heavy rain on the morning? But afternoon is really nice weather with clear sunshine :)

IMG_1393 The whole carnival is jammed with foods stall, toys stall, games stall and etc, for me the high light will be the horse riding for $2 per ride. Pretty cheap I will said. The stall is literally queue with children eagerly for their chances to ride on it.

IMG_1379

And this is one of my favourite photo for the whole event, wanna guess why? XD

FFVII Advent Children: Cloud & Fenrir

IMG_1262

If I am not mistaken, Final Fantasy is one of the first JRPG that I played in SNES, FFVII is the reason that I bought a PS one, FFXI is the one that officially bring me to the worlds of MMO, so final fantasy franchise always hold a special meaning in my life.

I believe most of you have watched Final Fantasy Advent Children in one way or the other, I honestly feel that Square Enix should have launched Advent Children as their first movie title instead of Spirit Within (maybe they learned from their mistake?) It is one of my favourite anime movie to date (especially the Blue Ray edition)

When Square Enix launched Play Arts Action Figure with Cloud & Fenrir few years ago, I been wanted to buy this. I actually come across this figure a few times when I was in Singapore or even in Brunei, but I decided to turn it down and feel regard later on. So when I saw this again KL, I finally decided to get it , although it actually took me quite some time to make the final decision :p

The quality and the workmanship for the toy is pretty good, there are some part I feel that it can be better but can’t really complain about it; for the additional detail I like to have it would jet up the price at least 2x

IMG_1249

If they ever produce a driveable version of Fenrir, I may tempted to get myself a motorbike driving license in order to drive this beauty.

Do I wish it better? Yes

And I happy with my purchase? Oh YES!!! XD

Happy Birthday, Michelle!!!

Today is Michelle birthday, so we decided to Michelle a little surprise instead of our family norm of celebrating birthday. I bought an Oreo cheese cake from secret receipt last night, and we gave it to her on 12pm, it is a total surprise to her (hopefully) XD

IMG_1166 The cake that I bought, it is one of the best oreo cheesecake I ever tasted in Brunei. Highly recommend!!!

IMG_1161 Then tonight we have our usual dinner, and chocolate royale cheese cake we bought from LOF bakery, not bad, but secret receipt one is way better.

New year Dinner @ Villa Mauri

IMG_0984-Edit

For some reason, Emily decided to manage a get together dinner for year 2010, so she have single handed take care of the booking, getting a good deal with menu choices, some drinks and series of programs in between meals.

IMG_0925 The rib eyes steak is simply awesome!!! One of the best I have tested in Brunei.IMG_0935Villa Mauri famous tiramisu. It is pretty good, but I heard their chocolate pudding is really really good, so may try it out next time.

We have fun times together especially the ladies is having fun with their “dressing up” thingy, sharing with one another about what we think of last year and what we have in plan for year 2010. It is really quite a meaning full night.

Well done and great job, Emily!!!

Jerudong Part

Haven’t been to Jerudong Park for donkey years, so when Grace asked me to go together with some others I decided to go for it.IMG_0730 IMG_0756 IMG_0862For someone who actually get to experience the golden day of Jerudong Park, I always feel sad when I come and revisit it again.Especially knowing some of the great ride was taken down due to lack of maintenance like giant drop, boomerang,  private ship and they even take down the water boat!!!

With all honesty, I am pretty surprise to see the amount of peoples that touring the JP that day, but I do take it  JP is still a great place to hang out with a family especially if you got children. The children play ground and ride will provide endless fun for the kids, or even bring back the child within you? :p

Our main target of the ride is bumper car, the ride has around 20 car while more than 12 of them is occupy by our peoples. So you are pretty sure it gonna be crazy!!! Everyone just bang into each others without any hesitations, it is a good thing we don’t have to pay any repair bill for any damage :p

Will JP ever be able to recover to its glorious day again? I hope so and I want to, but I think it will entirely depend on gov’t to see they want to bring back the golden image of Jerudong Park or not?

New year new life!!!

coco

Coco, the queen among the male dogs in our family have gave birth to 4 new puppy early this morning. Honestly it come as a total surprise for me, since her stomach wasn’t really that big, so I though it may take her another few weeks or months before she gave birth. Anyway, well done to Coco for what she did, since it is her first born so she is pretty protecting toward her child :)

KLCC

Night view from the hotel we stay.IMG_0168 Is already 2010, yet I haven’t finish all my year 2009 photo =w=

Finally after our 2nd attempts to go for KLCC skybridge, we manage to get our ticket to access to sky bridge. Why 2 times? First time we went there without realized that there closed on monday, tuesday we went there and the tickets was all out; so wednesday we decided to go there extra early and reach there around 7 plus to queue, and this is what we saw. Seem like KLCC sky bridge is really famous. . . IMG_0220

After almost an hour plus of queuing, we finally got our ticket. By the way the entrance is free. IMG_0224

Before we go to the sky bridge, we were arranged to see a short 3D movie regarding KLCC and the skybridge before we can go to the skybridge.

IMG_0283

IMG_0299 Maybe because I went to higher places that level 42th so I wasn’t really impressed with the view? But knowing that the we are inside a bridge does provide an interesting feeling. However the next time I visit KL, I will like to come here during the night session, I can be pretty sure that the view will be amazing with all the KL night light.

To draw a conclusion on our KL trip, it really is an interesting and fruitful trip, too bad we didn’t have enough time to visit china town and some other places. Do hope that next time I visit KL I will more chances to snap more variety of photo :)
